The product, in the report: Gold Canyon Heritage Candle - Sea Glass scent 16 oz
I purchased a Gold Canyon Candle - Heritage in a medium size. I was burning it as normal today and the glass container that candle came in must have gotten too hot and caught on fire. Thank goodness I came into the kitchen to see the fire had started. I tried to blow the fire out, which just made it bigger and tried to put water on it and the whole candle broke so glass and hot candle wax was everywhere. I cut 2 of my fingers on the broken glass trying to stop the fire. It burned part of my blinds and thankfully I was able to extinguish the fire, but it could have caught my entire house on fire!

The product, in the report: Gold Canyon Volite
I burned three Gold Canyon Volite candles during a party. It was about three hours later, and things were winding down when the crowd had gathered in my kitchen.
The candles were burning on a shelf in my living room. The smoke detectors simultaneously went off and everyone went to check what was going on. Sure enough, one of the Volites was on fire, with a flame over 12 inches high coming off of it.
Thankfully we were able to smother it with a large ceramic kitchen bowl to put it out! The plastic surrounding the candle had completely burned and melted through the little Gold Canyon metal wrap I had purchased with it. Also, the wick had bloomed out in three places, about the size of a nickel. Obviously that’s what likely cause the plastic to ignite.
This was only the second time these candles had been burned. The other two did not catch fire, but upon inspection, one of the other candles’ plastic was becoming distorted and on its way to the same demise.
