The product, in the report: COUNTRY MARKET CHRISTMAS COOKIES 13oz CANDLE SOLD THROUGH MENARDS
WHILE HAVING CHRISTMAS DINNER, THE SMOKE ALARM NEAR OUR BEDROOM WENT OFF. UPON CHECKING, WE DISCOVERED OUR COUNTRY MARKET CHRISTMAS COOKIES 13 OZ CANDLE WHICH WE PURCHASED AT MENARDS COMPLETELY ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THE FIRE WAS SO HOT THAT IT EVEN SET THE WET RAG WE USED TO EXTINGUISH THE FLAME ON FIRE. THE FLAMES WERE FINALLY EXTINGUISHED WITH WATER BUT THE GLASS CONTAINING THE CANDLE ALSO SHATTERED.
AFTER EXTINGUISHING THE CANDLE, WE CONTACTED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. USING INFRARED CAMERAS, THE FIRE DEPARTMENT DETERMINED THAT THE WALL WAS STILL EMITTING A LARGE AMOUNT OF HEAT, TO THE POINT THAT THEY PUNCTURED TO DRY WALL TO MAKE SURE THERE WAS NOT ANY FIRE BEHIND THE WALL. IT TOOK SEVERAL MINUTES FOR THE WALL TO COOL TO AN ACCEPTABLE RANGE.
APPARENTLY THESE CANDLES BURN AT VERY HIGH TEMPERATURE
