The product, in the report: Tea light’s candle

I was using a plastic tea light candle in the bathroom, it was in a tea light holder that i’ve used many times in the past. I left the bathroom and was in the room next door, I smelt smoke so I went to go into the bathroom, and saw that tons of smoke was coming out of the bathroom. It appeared as though the plastic outter part of the candle had ignited and was on fire. It burnt my countertop in my bathroom, I had to scrub the walls and mirror that was surrounding the area, I could not repair the counter without replacing it, but have not done so yet as it’s a one piece countertop and would be rather expensive to replace, so for now I just cover up the burn mark. I believe the candles were purchased from FredMeyers the day after thanksgiving and were a Chesepeake Bay candle. I used my mother’s FredMeyers rewards phone number to purchase the candles so I did not recieve the phone call about the recall and did not recieve any notice of the recall, I recently was telling my mother about the candles and what had happened and were I bought them and she informed me that the company had called her and that she recieved a notice on her receipt, she pulled the reciept out of her files and gave it to me to report.
