The product, in the report: Candle: 8 oz, black wax, in thin black cylinder glass jar, white sticker label with its brand name Byredo. And the scent is called biblotheque. It comes in non descriptive white packaging and only has 4 digits on the bottom of the jar. There is no serial number, Model number, UPC code or sku code. Unless 2B07 means anything. Also, no date of when it was made or anything. Also to note, the pictures I have show the second candle and when the rep wanted to see it in action and I did light it. As you can see how big the flame is, how much black smoke is letting off. As well as Im attaching g pictures of random items around ny house to show how far it permeated. It stained down to the lower floor boards. Again no fire alarms went off and I had them checked. Finally, the major concern for the following week I was literally sneezing/blowing out black ash out of my nose. This is a health hazard and safety hazard

The high end lifestyle brand Byredo. They sell candles and various scents. I have purchased one Biblotheque candle and got gifted the exact same one from their brand. One directly from their website and one from an official retailer of theirs: a brick and mortar store. The candles are 240 g each and cost $99. The first candle I used, i burned as directed: trim wick, keep away from drafts, only burn up to 3 hours at a time; although the first burn needs to have the wax pool from side to side of glass vessel. Then once you get down to a quarter inch of wax; it is done. However, I made it probably a third of the way down and I realized that this candle was producing black smoke and leaving this soot like residue. It never set off the fire alarms and you didnt realize it until you walked away from the area, but it caused almost this fog. When I noticed it letting off this black smoke, it had only been lit for 10 minutes max. I wouldnt of believed it happened if there wasnt soot all over plastic containers, white items, just anything solid. And this was through a 2200 sq ft space. So I contacted the company, twice, no response, I discarded the candle. I then received another one on my birthday from the official website: once again, followed everything. However, this time was terrifying. I even recorded it because a representative finally responded to one of my many emails. I dont know what happened to this candle but the wick had moved all the way to the side of the glass and there was no fire per se, but the house was full of black haze and everything was covered in soot. Once I showed the person the video they stopped responding. I am seriously concerned because I dont know if its because of the wax is black or the wick or if they are burning too hot.. But something is seriously wrong. And I wanted them to check to see if maybe it was just that scent or all of their scents.?
