The product, in the report: Round soy wax candle in coconut shell.
I bought two of these candles. They smelled lovely and looked ever so pretty. I brought them home and lit them. Here are a few observations.
1) The flame gets wicked high, although trimming the wick helps. I was worried the flame would set the wooden container on fire at the slightest draft.
2) When the candle finally burned down, I blew it out. When I picked it up, I noticed the wax had seeped through the wood and pooled on the kitchen counter. This isn’t the sort of behavior I like in a candle.
3) With a lot of candles, you can take a minute to use the bathroom, make dinner, or fold the laundry while they burn--not this candle. I wouldn’t take my eyes off this candle for a minute.
Maybe I’m just paranoid, but a candle where the wax seeps through the container doesn’t strike me as being safe. Maybe coconut shells are fireproof or something.
