The product, in the report: Spiced Pumpkin Cheesecake doughbowl Woodwick candle: 12-inch, three-wick wood dough bowl candle with scented wax. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1109737650/spiced-pumpkin-cheesecake-doughbowl?ref=yr_purchases&variation0=2369471087
We bought a dough bowl candle with three wood wicks from Etsy. The wicks all burned differently (the middle wouldn’t burn at all, one on the end burned a little and would go out, and the third would burn slightly). This caused the wax to be all uneven across the length of the wood dough bowl. The unevenness of the wax and the low flame on the wick made it extremely difficult to see that the candle was lit at all. One night, only the one wick was lit (the other two wouldn’t light) but it wasn’t visible due to the unevenness of the wax. The other two wicks were not lit. It was left lit when we went to bed because we could not see that it was lit. The one wick lit the side of the wood dough bowl on fire and the fire spread around the rim of the bowl. The entire bowl did not burn because there was still wax in it due to the unevenness of the candle burning. So the rim turned into a wick burning the wax still in the bowl. We woke up to our smoke alarms going off and saw the entire bowl in huge flames on our kitchen island. The flames were at least two feet high. If the candle had been on a flammable surface instead of our marble island and if there had been anything else around it, there would have been a major fire in the house. My husband used a towel and grabbed the flaming bowl to put it in the sink. He thought the whole bowl was on fire and didn’t realize there was still wax in it. The wax spilled over the edge and burned his hand as he was dropping the burning candle bowl into the sink to put it out. This product is inherently unsafe due to the uneven burning of the wicks causing it to be extremely difficult to tell if the candle is still lit, and the wood container that easily catches fire.
