The product, in the report: Ultimate Candle Making Kit by Anker Play Products for Ages 8 & Up It is a candle making kit that consists of 3 glass jars, wicks, and wax grains to pour into the jars to make creative sand looking designs.
My child purchased the Ultimate Candle Making Kit this weekend. She and her sister made the candles Saturday and I lit them to melt the top layer of wax. While one of the candles was lit, the top of the jar (glass) apparently overheated from the small flame and the rim of the glass jar just popped and fell off onto my counter in the form of a large shard. I was standing near the counter and immediately ran over to pick up the glass and in doing so, burned my thumb and forefinger. I’m just glad it was me that happened to be there and not my daughters for whom the kit is marketed. It was purchased at a Five Below store and made by Anker Play Products. It is marketed for ages 8 and up.
