No one hurt Made Jun 17, 2015, sent to the company Jun 25, 2015, published by CPSC Jul 17, 2015
The product, in the report: Visions®4-Pc Cookware Set: 2-1/2L Round Stewpot The item is a Visions 4-Pc Cookware Set Item #1094316.
I purchased a Visions®4-Pc Cookware Set and have been using them for a little over a year. On 5/5/15 When I was using the bigger piece (2-1/2L Round Stewpot), the pot cracked ~2 hours into cooking with low heat on the stove. The pot suddenly split completely in half. It nearly spilled the hot chicken soup on my son and created a big mess in the kitchen. This is not only a product issue but also extremely dangerous as my family could’ve been hurt. This product has been around for years, and I am appalled to be experiencing something like this. This pot is meant to be used over a stove and I did not receive a warning not to use it on a stove.
I tried contacting the company on 5/6 and was unsuccessful.

The product, in the report: Cranberry colored Corning Visions cookware - Baking pan approximately 10 x 13 (but nothing was left of it to measure)
About 2 weeks ago, my husband was baking chicken in the cranberry-colored Corning Visions baking dish we have used for many years, when we heard a huge bang, went to the oven, and the entire dish had exploded inside of the oven. The oven had been on 350 degrees. Glass was all over the inside of the oven and oven door. Despite trying to clean it up well, some thin shards must have fallen on the floor and the next day cut my foot. As these pieces of glass were reddish tinged (they are cranberry colored) it was impossible for me to extract the shard, and necessitated my having it looked at by an EMT. After looking on-line, it is clear that Corning Visions cookware should be pulled from every cabinet and shelf as I feel lucky to not have had shard shooting across the room lacerating my limbs. This is horribly dangerous stuff. I had to take my husband out to dinner as we had nothing left in the house and our dinner was ruined. The bill came to $48.12.
