  1. First aid

Made Jan 6, 2016, sent to the company Jan 14, 2016, published by CPSC Feb 10, 2016

The product, in the report: Tramontina; 5-Qt EveryDay Nonstick Jumbo Cooker with Lid; Red; Walmart reciept item #1001601702939 dated 12/26/15; cost 19.94; (online Walmart #552023527) This is a Jumbo Cooker to cook food on the stove with a glass lid.

I purchased a Tramontina 5·Qt Nonstick Jumbo Cooker with lid at Walmart. The first time using the pan, I was placing the lid in the sink when it shattered in my hand. I was left with holding only the black lid holder in my hand, I had glass all over the sink and inside my garbage disposal, and my kitchen counter. I looked up the product on the Walmart website, I found that I wasn’t the only one who had this problem. I sent a request to Tramontina company that makes the product, stating they need to remove this product. I find this very disturbing, that this wasn’t a ramdom incident. I plan to go to Walmart to return the item. I don’t want a replacement either, I just want my money back, and inform them that they need to stop selling this item. I did get a small slice cut from the glass.
