  1. No one hurt

Made May 11, 2021, sent to the company May 14, 2021, published by CPSC May 28, 2021

The product, in the report: The product was a 9.3 inch x 5.2 inch x 2.7 inch Nonstick Bread & Loaf Pan. The brand of the product is “G & S ProBake”. It is manufactured by G&S Metal Products Company, Inc in Cleveland Ohio USA 44127. It is labeled as “Made in the USA”.

I was using a 9 inch by 5 inch metal baking pan to cook a meatloaf. After I removed the cooked meatloaf from the oven I found a large pool of fat had dripped from the pan onto another cooking pan on the shelf below in the gas oven. If the other pan had not been there to catch the dripping fat it could have dripped onto the bottom of the oven, been ignited by the gas flame, and caused a fire. When I examined the metal baking pan that had leaked I saw that a manufacturing indentation in the bottom of the pan had actually sliced through the bottom of the pan causing a place where cooking fats could leak through.
