The product, in the report: Paula Deen red speckled cookware set. Red speckled porcelain with glass tops.
On Easter Sunday I was boiling water in the 6 quart Paula Deen pot. As the water was heating up I started hearing a popping sound. When the water came to a full boil I removed the lid and placed it on a trivet on my counter. About 2 minutes passed and I heard a explosion. The glass on the lid had shattered into a million pieces. The most disturbing part was that the handle became a flying projectile with shards of glass on it. I only received a nick on my hand but it could have been a lot worse had my family arrived for dinner and there were more people, including children, in the kitchen.
