First aid Made Jun 16, 2026, sent to the company Jun 22, 2026, published by CPSC Jul 15, 2026
The product, in the report: Kitchen and Table borosilicate glass 4 cup container. It has a glass lid surrounded with a seal and hard plastic locking handles. Printed on the bottom is that is is oven safe to 500 degrees. Even when microwaving without the lid, once the lid is placed over the container, it creates a vacuum that seals the lid.
The lid exploded on our HEB Kitchen and Table 4 cup glass food cookware. My husband was cut on his thumb. If he had not been wearing glasses, the glass would have gone in his eyes. I was standing nearby and got glass in my hair. It went up and out all over our meal, nearby stove, kitchen counter, and floor.
