The product, in the report: Scanpan 6.5” cooking pot. Part of a Scanpan CTX 10-Piece Deluxe Set

I purchased a set of Scanpan pots and pans from Amazon in May of 2016. A few weeks ago, I noticed a crack in the handle where it attaches to the pot, around the hole the bolt goes through. The crack is about 1/4” wide and goes all the way through the metal. I called Scanpan customer service and asked for a warranty replace/repair. They told me (via email) that their warranty only covers the interior lining of the product, not the handle. I believe this is a serious safety issue. If I was trying to carry a pot of boiling water to the sink to drain it, and the handle broke, I could be seriously injured.

The product did not break, but it is obviously defective. I’m afraid they might have a problem with their manufacturing process.
