The product, in the report: Red Copper better pasta pot. 5qt with glass ceramic lid

It is a 5 quart copper cookware kettle with a lock down lid. When your using the kettle and put on the lid to move it away from the heat or drain the water. You need to put the lid on and both handles snap down to secure the lid, except when you do that they snap down and trap your hand in against the wall of the kettle. We just bought it and my wife has had it happen three times already. I tried it and if your careful and snap it down properly it is easy to understand how it happens. The only option is to smack down the handles, risking it tipping or sliding out of your control and spilling the whole contents, which would be exposing yourself to a worse scenario than smashing or pinching your hands against the hot kettle. So far her Burns and abrasions haven’t required a trip to the doctor, but it will happen to someone. We are returning the product back to vendor. Any questions please feel free to contact me.
