The product, in the report: Organicgreen Flip Jack pancake pan

Organicgreen Flip Jake Pancake Pan--I just bought this product last month at ROSS Department Stores in Corpus Christi, TX. I’ve used the pan less than 5 times and today when I was cooking some bacon in it I lifted it off of the oven burner and the PLASTIC handle broke where it connects and is riveted into the pan base. It was a clean break and from what I can tell the heat from the pan weakened the plastic handle which caused it to separate from the pan. I was lucky because none of the grease in the pan burned me, but it did create a mess. I called the Organicgreen customer support number (800)-280-5424 and talked with [REDACT] to tell him of the defect. He said that I should return the pan and that they would send me a new one. I DON’T WANT a new one, there is a defect in the design and a significant safety issue!! [REDACT] mentioned that he would take it up with his supervisor...whatever? I took pictures of the pan immediately after the incident and asked [REDACT][REDACTED] if Organicgreen wanted to see the photos of the pan. No that’s not required was the response. Evidently Organicgreen isn’t too concerned about safety related issues with their products?? They need to replace the plastic handle with a metal on like the rest of their pan have. I’m an aircraft mechanic so I’m not stupid when it comes to engineering.
