No one hurt Made Apr 6, 2013, sent to the company Apr 15, 2013, published by CPSC Apr 29, 2013
The product, in the report: Member’s Mark Tri-Ply fry pan
While pre-heating our Tri-Ply Clad 20cm frying pan, we heard a loud sharp “bang” and discovered that the rivet on the handle had exploded off the inner portion of the pan. The rivet was lying in the pan as it must have hit the side of the pan and then landed in the pan. Had the rivet cleared the top of the pan when it exploded off the handle, it could have caused serious injury to myself or wife, as it was very hot and made of metal. The underside of the pan shows Member’s Mark, Made in China, the NSF logo in a circle, and number 80116/190. We feel this product should be immediately be pulled off the shelf and a worldwide notice be posted to prevent serious injury to anyone. If you require any further information, please contact us. Thank you.
