The product, in the report: 4-Quart Stainless Steel Pot with Steamer Insert & Lid

I recently purchased a Mainstays brand 4-quart Stainless Steel Pot with Steamer Insert & Lid from my local Walmart. There was a sticker on the pot, so as I removed the sticker before use I noticed the “This product contains...” label on it. No cookware should contain “Lead and Lead Compounds, Cadmium and Cadmium Compounds.” This is a regularly purchased brand of cookware from Walmart, this is a very concerning health risk to any using said cookware.

The product, in the report: Walmart’s generic brands of cast iron pots and pans. Branded as “Mainstays” and “Ozark Trail”. This includes their skillets and dutch ovens.

I went to a Walmart Supercenter looking to buy a new cast iron skillet. I compared the generic Walmart brand, “Mainstays” with the name brand and was horrified to find such toxic metals and materials listed in the “Mainstays” brand skillet. Among those listed were lead, arsenic, and inorganic arsenic. Even the Walmart website lists multiple of the items in these pans as “neurotoxicants”. The entire generic line from Walmart, including their “Mainstays” brand and the “Ozark Trail” brand cast iron skillets and dutch ovens have these harmful metals, alloys and materials in their composition. These pots pans need to be recalled and removed from the shelves immediately! Walmart should be held responsible for cutting corners and compromising the health of people nationwide! It should be illegal to KNOWINGLY be manufacturing and selling pans with such harmful chemicals and materials. PLEASE HOLD WALMART ACCOUNTABLE.

The product, in the report: Rectangle 18.9” Non-Stick Carbon Steel Grey With Speckle Roaster Pan & Wire Rack Gauge on 0.5 mm Thickness

On Thanksgiving I decided I would cook my very first turkey. So I asked my brother in law if he would get me a roasting pan. The following day as I was washing the pan I cut my fingers on both hands with the edge of the roasting pan. I painfully noticed that the edges were very sharp all the way around. I then looked it up online and discovered that they had sold over 1000 of those pans that are dangerous and unsafe. Thats what ultimately made me report it. Because so many of them were sold and I was afraid anyone else would get hurt.

The product, in the report: This is a “stainless steel” 3 quart mixing bowl purchased from Walmart in Somersworth New Hampshire. the bowl has a mirror finish inside, and a matte finish outside. it is 9 inches in diameter at the top and 5 inches deep. It has a flat indented bottom. The bottom measures about 5 inches in diameter. there are no brand markings on this bowl, but there had been a sticker at the time of purchase that said it had been made in India. The brand is mainstays, I do not have the receipt, but it is the mainstays 3 quart mixing bowl available on Walmart’s website. I will attach images of the bowl and the positive lead test.

on 6/14/2024 I purchased a Mainstays stainless steel mixing bowl from the Walmart in Somersworth NH. Today, 6/29/2024 I purchased some lead tests after hearing news about stainless steel and aluminum cookware testing positive. I tested everything metal in my kitchen, and this bowl was the only thing that tested positive for lead. The test used is [REDACTED] instant lead surface tests.

My husband and I had been using this mixing bowl since the date of purchase to marinate meat and wash vegetables. My father has also eaten food made with this mixing bowl. We have not had a blood lead level test done and do not know if there is any poisoning.

The product, in the report: Mainstays Stainless Steel 10 Piece Set, Kitchen Set, Cookware Set, Pots and Pans Set from Walmart

I had been cooking with my Mainstays Stainless Steel 10 Piece Kitchen Set of Pots and Pans when I noticed an object that didn’t belong with the food. Upon closer inspection I realized it was a stainless steel cap that goes over top the aluminum rivets of one of the pans. Had I not noticed and started eating this is a serious choking hazard. It’s also very sharp on the underside.

The product, in the report: 12 inch non stick copper skillet MS COPPER 12 FRYPN

I cooked dinner with the MS COOPER 12 FRYPN, removed from stove placed the pan in sink, wiped stove down, then went to retrieve pan from sink when I flipped the pan over scalding hot water came rushing out of pan handle (this had never happened before) on to my stomach causing 2nd degree burns with open wounds, I did have to receive medical attention and get a shot, they also prescribed me a cream! This product is very dangerous and should be put on recall list, I had to miss work due to the serious injuries sustained by handle retaining scalding water, I would like to discuss further comp package of some sort!
