The product, in the report: Grand Gourmet Broiler/Roast Pan. Heavy gauge carbon steel construction. 16.8in X 12.7in X 1.4 inches. Non stick coated for easy clean up and release of foods. 4003 Dist. by Wholesale Merchandisers, Inc. 2929 Walker NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49544 Made in Indonesia
I purchased the Grand Gourmet Broiler/Roast Pan Friday April 13, 2012 at Meijer in Brighton, MI. I used it last night to cook steaks in my oven. When I tried to remove the broiler pan from the oven the bottom pan slipped from my grasp and spilled hot grease all over my oven door and my floor. I suffered a minor burn to my foot. The issue with this pan is that the bottom pan that catches the grease is much smaller than the surface where you place the food to cook. When you try to remove the broiler pan from the oven using hot pads, you can not tell if you have the grease pan grasped firmly if at all. I believe this is a burn hazard caused by poor product design.
