I purchased a 5 quart red pasta pot with strainer lid from my Amazon Prime account. When I used it the first time, while straining, pouring away from me, the lid fell off, the pasta fell into the sink and the water splattered everywhere, including on my arms and abdomen. I DO NOT KNOW DATE OF MANUFACTURE. Made it up.
