  1. No one hurt

Made Jun 23, 2012, sent to the company Aug 13, 2012, published by CPSC Aug 27, 2012

The product, in the report: WOK Tri ply Stainless Steel Aluminum Core, 3 piece set Wok, steamer, tempered glass lid NSF Item./ART 456210 Made in China

The glass cover of the wok exploded sending glass all over the stove, counters and floor. Cooking had been completed over 1 1/2 hours ago and the wok and cover were completely cool. The handle on the lid had fallen into the wok and left a ring of shattered glass around the rim.

It is fortunate that no one was in the kitchen when it exploded, as it might have caused serious injury to the eyes, face and body. The sound of the explosion could be heard outside of the house.
