The product, in the report: Beka Cookware Claudine Water Kettle - 4.25 Quart

I am writing to bring to your attention a situation in which the bottom melted and fell out of a Beka brand water kettle. The melted metal parts in turn burned my kitchen floor and counter top and my hand. I believe this product to be extremely dangerous and that it should not be allowed to be sold in the United States.

I have written the company asking them to contact me to make arrangements to pay for the cost of repairs to my house and to my hand, but they have not replied.

Specifically, the product is a Beka Cookware Claudine Water Kettle - 4.25 Quart that I purchased through Amazon.

I have also written to Amazon. Their automated systems seem willing to allow me to return the kettle, but they have not responded to my request for assistance in repairing damages.

Several photos are attached. There are other photos including one of my burned hand.

Please let me know whether there are similar reports on file with your office and what I need to do to establish an official record and investigation.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
