The product, in the report: The product used was bought as a complete cookware set on amazon. It is the Ballarini Parma Forged Aluminum Nonstick Cookware Set, 10-Piece, Granite. The lid that was used was part of the 10” skillet.

While using Ballarini Parma forged aluminum 10” skillet, bought as a complete cookware set, the glass lid exploded while on top of the skillet.

This skillet was being used on the stove. The lid was placed on top of the skillet to reduce grease splatter. Once placed on top, the lid exploded within 2 minutes sending shards of thick glass throughout the kitchen. The glass shattered into the pan as well causing bacon grease to spill over onto the flames, causing the flames to explode along the countertop. Luckily there were no injuries, but this damage could have caused lacerations to the user or a house fire if not swiftly resolved by the user.
