The product, in the report: Percolator - Ozark Trails - 10 cup percolator
Note: Failure to de-burr (ragged edge)
Caller stated that metal on the interior of the percolator is extremely sharp causing laceration while he was cleaning it. He stated that he administered first aid to his right middle finger. Caller stated that he tried to contact the retailer but he could not. He stated that may have to return the product by going to the store. Caller stated that the design is flawed which is a safety hazard and should be reported.
Please note: The cut to my finger was deep and is still not fully healed. This occurred during normal cleaning of a new product with a small sponge. The distance between the rime and tube makes this have a high probability of hurting someone without exception if the tube is not finished (de-burred) properly.
