The product, in the report: Coffee Carafe
The caller stated that this coffee carafe was purchased for his church. They have been experiencing the following problems with the unit.
The cap is difficult to screw and become cross-threaded; when pouring cup after cup coffee fills in the cap if the carafe is tip backwards towards the user hand the hot coffee spills out of the space where the thumb lever is located;
When refilling a used carafe coffee in the cap spills out on the surface where it was placed, now the server is faced with cleaning up the the equivalent of half cup of tea or coffee;
The (stopper) that is operated by thumb-lever easily becomes detached and cannot be secured to its original position in the cap. Consequently the stoppers have been discarded which now allows hot liquids to easily fill the cap as discuss in paragraph 2.
The caller is concerned that these issues are a safety hazard and should be reported.
