The product, in the report: Cuisinart Brew Central 12-cup programmable coffeemaker with glass carafe. Model DCC-1200.
My 9 year-old daughter was holding the carafe of our Cuisinart 12-Cup coffee maker and the bottom of the glass carafe broke, spilling superheated coffee all over her feet. She screamed and I immediately lifted her to the sink and put cold tap water on her feet, but shes been burned on both feet and theyve started blistering. We had to pick her up from school because she came out of assembly crying. This is the second carafe thats broken, but the first time somebody has been hurt.
Send this to [REDACTED] about this, shell understand.

The product, in the report: Cuisinart Coffee Maker, Model CBC6400PC, Serial 60426
Cuisinart coffee maker bought from Costco Jan 2017 for $59.99 plus tax. On 7/5/20, while routinely cleaning the glass carafe with a scratch free sponge and dish soap, the bottom piece of glass broke and my husband’s hand went through and got cut in multiple places, causing a lot of bleeding that was difficult to stop and required many [REDACTED] changes.

The product, in the report: 12 Cup Percolator with Glass or plastic top.
I was using a 12 cup Cuisinart brand percolator in which the top is made of a plastic substance. Connair’s Cuisinart after becoming old this plastic perking top breaks with no knowing of when and where it may break. One morning as my wife was making coffee it busted free and went over our countertops. If we where standing there we would of been severely scorched and burnt from this happening. I’ve written to the company and they said they would not replace and the plastic substance is on endless backorder. They didn’t seem to care. Product # PRC 12 Model 60509B Serial number. This in my opinion should taken off the shelves immediately.

The product, in the report: Cuisinart Elite Collection 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker Model: Cuisinart Elite Collection 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker DCC-3650WS Serial #: 20426 A UPC #: 04031
We purchased a Cuisinart Elite Collection 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Model DCC-3650WS, on April 25, 2015 at the Macy’s Department Store located in Palm Desert California. We registered the product with Cuisinart on April 26, 2015.
On the morning of December 12, 2015 strange sounds began coming from the coffeemaker followed by smoke which enveloped the coffee pot with smoke also coming from the rear of the unit where the electrical outlet is located. There was a strong stench that came with the smoke. When we were able to examine the unit it appeared the top of the coffee filter had burned.
We called the Cuisinart Customer Service Center, 800-726-0190 and informed the customer service representative [REDACTED] what had happened. After checking the model and serial number the representative told us the warranty had expired on the day we purchased the coffeemaker even though the instruction book said the unit came with a limited three-year warranty. She offered us a discount coupon. We told her we would be purchasing a new coffee maker that day so the coupon was of no interest, rather the purpose of our call was to provide an alert. We are not sure how our alert would or would not be handled within Cuisinart.

The product, in the report: Cuisinart DGB-700CRF carage
Over the past 6 months I have had two carafes to the Cuisnart DGB-700CRF crack without physical trauma. The inciting event seems to be a mild difference in temperature. Prior to the last carafe cracking, I merely wiped some spilled coffee from the hot plate before replacing the carafe on the plate, I contacted the Cuisinart customer service representative who stated that the carafes are made with tempered glass. She denied any knowledge of other consumers having this type of problem or to replace these units. SHe also reported that Cuisinart does not warrant the carafes.
I have heard that some consumers have had “[REDACTED]” type glass crack under similar circumstances. Based on my limited reading on the matter, it appears to have something to do with a change in the formulation in which the glass is made.
There were no injuries as a result of these incidents. However, as a physician I believe that the glass carafes cracking with minor temperature changes constitutes a safety risk.
Thank you,
[REDACTED]

The product, in the report: DCC-1200BW Brew Central 12-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker (Black)
I have a Cuisinart DCC-1200 Brew Central Programmable Coffeemaker which was purchased 10/14/2010 from Amazon.com. I use this coffee maker 4-5 times per week. Yesterday, about 10 minutes after starting the brew cycle, I heard a strange noise coming from the coffee maker, a bubbling, gurgling, hissing sound (which I later found out was due the coffee in the pot boiling and the hot plate burning). I checked the coffeemaker and saw smoke coming out from the hot plate. I removed the carafe and found the front half of the hot plate bright red. I immediately unplugged the coffee maker. Smoke continued to come out from around the hot plate along with a burning plastic smell. There was no damage to my countertop or any other surrounding appliances or the outlet. However, I feel if I had not been in the immediate vicinity this would not have been the case and quite likely could have led to a kitchen fire. I called Cuisinart. They offered a replacement which I obviously didn’t want. They refused to give me a refund.
