The product, in the report: The coffee orb is a coffee pot used to make a single serving of coffee. The instructions state to preheat the water in the bottom of the pot. Then you put the coffee into the receptacle and place a weighted with holes on top . After putting the top together you place on bottom press down and turn the pot to line up across the pot. The coffee brews through the top and when it bubbles up it is done at which time you remove from heat and pot coffee.

I supported a [REDACTED] project for the company Crucials coffee orb. After receiving the coffee orb at the beginning of the year I used the coffee orb for 2 months. One morning I was preparing my coffee on the stove and standing in front of stove waiting for it to brew, the pot exploded spraying boiling water and coffee grounds all over me and the kitchen about 2-3 feet around me. I reported this to the company asking for a small compensation for being burned and traumatized, also asking them to notify all owner of the potential for explosion. They sent my request to their legal and insurance teams. After a couple months I received a 4 page instruction on how to correctly use the pot. The insurance team denied my claim stating I used the pot incorrectly.
