The product, in the report: The product is designed to store and dispense plastic wrap and aluminum foil. the name of the product is “Wraptastic”.
I purchased a “Wraptastic” wrapping dispenser recently. This device is used to store and dispense plastic wrap and aluminum foil for saving food. We keep it in a drawer as shown on tv. When I started to pick it up out of the drawer my finger slipped a little and was cut on the blade which is just a fraction of an inch away the edge of the lid. This device is designed so that the lid does not stay closed because it is spring loaded. You have to push down on the lid to cut off the amount of material that you are going to use. There is a warning in small print on the left side of the lid stating that is a sharp edge on the lid, however, the proximity of the blade to edge of the lid so close (1/4”) that this poses a safety hazard to anyone who uses this product especially children. I personally think that it should be recalled and taken off the market until it has been redesigned to eliminate accidental injuries.
