The product, in the report: 1-quart glass measuring cup, with a red line at the 1.5 cup marker, made by World Kitchens (Pyrex)
My Pyrex 2-cup glass measuring cup I’ve had for 2 years EXPLODED all over me as I put it in the cupboard. I haven’t used it incorrectly. Yesterday, I used it to pour cool water into a cool pot. Then I left it in the drying rack on my counter to dry. Today, as I was putting it into the cupboard, it exploded in my hand for no apparent reason. There was no dramatic temperature change involved. I’ve heard that many other people have had similar experiences, but I never believed it until it happened to me. World Kitchen’s website says that this does not happen and claims their glassware is well-made and safe. I can’t believe they can get away with saying that. Their glassware DEFINITELY can shatter explosively and unexpectedly, even when properly used. That’s dangerous. I’m upset about the company’s dishonesty in denying it.
