The product, in the report: The SoloPad automatic k-cup dispenser by Solofill, LLC UPC Code: 852932003129
Purchased a solofill automatic K-Cup (coffee pod) dispenser from Bed, Bath and Beyond. UPC Code: 852932003129
Mounted the unit on the wall using the manufacturer instructions, about 45 minutes after mounting, the 18x18 glass front of it flew off of the unit and broke on kitchen floor, cutting both my and my 6 year old daughters legs.
The glass flew off with significant force because the auto dispenser is spring loaded.
Apparently the assembly process uses double stick tape to secure the glass to the base of the unit and the tape process is either flawed or is simply not sufficient to retain the items it’s deigned to hold.
Stitches were required to repair my cut, were not required for my daughter.
After cleanup, it is very apparent the tape used to place the glass onto the base is inadequate.
We are extremely lucky that the glass did not hit either of our faces or eyes.
