The product, in the report: Plastic and metal lock tongs The Pioneer Woman Stainless Steel 12” Lock Tongs
The consumer has not contacted the firm and does not plan to. There is a lock on the top end of the tongs. One has to push the lock in to enable the tongs to be used. This leaves an opening where the locking mechanism could take a child’s finger off or even an adult. The consumer had his finger caught in that mechanism, but he was able to catch himself, before he sustained an injury. This was the consumer’s first time using the report. The consumer believes that this product should be removed from the market due to the potential laceration hazard.
