Made Nov 20, 2025, sent to the company Nov 25, 2025, published by CPSC Dec 17, 2025

User-friendly -- Compared to cloth tea bag or soup bags, our reusable tea filter is easier to clean and use. Just simply pour out the residue and rinse with water. The tea diffuser for loose tea designed with more large capacity than ordinary tea ball infuser. Dishwasher safe. Ideal Gift for Tea Lovers -- The tea infuser is suitable for loose leaves, tea, herbs, spices, etc. It is an ideal tool for office, home, business trip and travel, and also an ideal gift for tea lovers on other festivals.

I am reporting a safety hazard with a tea infuser purchased online. The product information is as follows: Product Type: Tea Infuser / Tea Strainer (Extra Fine Mesh with Silicone Lid) Brand: BLIGKO Source: Purchased on Amazon.com (ASIN: B0BKS9W22L)

The incident occurred while I (an adult consumer) was cleaning the product after its first use. I had removed the silicone outer cover from the lid component to ensure thorough cleaning, a necessary step for maintaining hygiene with food-contact items. While handling the lid component (a flat, circular stainless steel disc with an attached silicone pull handle), I discovered an extremely sharp, unfinished edge on the perimeter of the stainless steel disc.

The sharp edge caused a deep laceration to my finger. This presents a significant safety hazard during the reasonably foreseeable use and cleaning of the product. The manufacturer has failed to finish or deburr the edges of this metal component, creating a cutting hazard for consumers.
