The product, in the report: Ronco 5 tray Food Dehydrator, photo attached is of the heating element wire is burned
New Ronco 5 tray dehydrator, used a few times, one wire inside where it attaches to the heating element burned. Was always used according to manufacturer guide, not mis-handled. Ronco refuses to to replace, must purchase a new one. A few online blogs speak to this happening to other customers as well, Ronco says otherwise. Clearly a fire hazard.

The product, in the report: Ronco FD1005WHGEN 5-Tray Electric Food Dehydrator
I purchased a Ronco FD1005WHGEN 5-Tray Electric Food Dehydrator from AMAZON.com.
Upon the first use, one of the plastic parts melted and released an odor / smoke. We had retired for the nite, the smell woke us up. We unplugged it.
This product is a fire hazard and should be removed from the market.
