No one hurt Made Sep 9, 2023, sent to the company Sep 12, 2023, published by CPSC Sep 26, 2023
The product, in the report: Progressive Prep Solutions Microwave Breakfast Sandwich Egg Maker. Yellow body with clear lid, approximately 4” Round.
Hello: I’m writing about a product that could potentially harm consumers. My husband and I bought the “Progressive Microwave Breakfast Egg Maker” on 8/28/23 from a Container Store. We have followed the product instructions and have repeatedly had issues, trying to make eggs in our home microwave. First of all the lid will pop off in the microwave when cooking causing the egg to fly all over the place. Secondly, the most hazardous issue is that after removing the product from The microwave after cooking and taking off the lid, the egg can explode right into your face and eyes. We have had this happens 3 times now, trying to make sure we weren’t doing something incorrectly, and have decided we cannot use the product anymore. There is not a disclaimer on the packaging saying this, only that the product can be hot and beware of steam. This product should not be available to anyone! Thank you.

Hurt, care not known Made Sep 1, 2014, sent to the company Sep 9, 2014, published by CPSC Sep 23, 2014
The product, in the report: Progressive International “Dice and Pop Cuber” GPC-2750 UPC 0-78915-04170-8) Green
While using the Progressive International Corp “Dice and Pop Cuber” (GPC-2750, UPC 0-78915-04170-8) per the provided instructions, and while pushing down on the handles, a blade dislodged and swung over the handle and nearly cut my finger. Upon inspection I noticed that another blade was missing and was discovered embedded in the cut potatoes being prepared for frying. The blades can easily bend allowing them to lose their anchor to the base and handle assembly.
As a result this product should be considered both a laceration and choking hazard.

Hurt, no treatment Made Oct 6, 2012, sent to the company Oct 16, 2012, published by CPSC Oct 30, 2012
The product, in the report: Progressive 2-in-1 Mortar and Pestle
Progressive 2-in-1 Mortar and Pestle features a two-mortar design, one small and one large, in something of an hourglass shape. It comes with a rubber lid that the instructions claim can be placed on either the small or the large mortar as a non-skid base. The product instructions state: “Place black lid inside large mortar when using the small bowl for added stability and non-skid benefit.” The trouble is either that 1) the lid is too large to be placed inside the large mortar or 2) the large mortar is too small to accommodate the lid. Either way, the lid absolutely will not fit inside the large mortar as promised.
I tried and tried to push the black lid down inside the large mortar but after repeated unsuccessful attempts I ended up injuring my thumb because the lid simply would not go down inside the mortar. It is now five months or so since the injury and my thumb is still painful and a bit swollen. I notice it especially when I grip handlebars or some similar object.
I called this problem to the attention of the company shortly after the injury, but the person I talked to, [redacted] I believe was her name, just blew me off and did not provide any satisfaction for my complaint.
