I bought a tempered glass cutting board that was supposed to be heat and shatter resistant on Amazon to use as a staging surface on my stove. It is not used with direct heat on it. While my husband was cooking yesterday, the cutting board exploded, sending shards of glass 10-20 feet across the kitchen, with enough force to push various kitchen accessories across the countertop. It’s a miracle he was not injured.
