The product, in the report: The mat is intended for protection of ceramic glass cooktops and is not intended for direct food cooking. Remove the mat from the plastic bag and lay it on the top of the ceramic glass cooktop . Now it’s ready to use. You can place any of your pots and pans and start cooking! Brownish spots and coloration from spilled food can appear which is normal. The mat will stain, at the end of the day it is taking a beating at 600F. The LoMi Cooktop Mat is the only mat for electrical, ceramic and induction flat cooktops. Heat resistant from 1050°F to 2000°F
Purchased a Lomi cooking Mat to protect glass top. While cooking the edge of the mat came in contact with the element. Did not relies this until I was cleaning up. As I pulled the mat away from the stove it pull some of the material away from the stove top damaging the glass top. This should not of happened as the mat according to the web site say rated to 1300 degrees. Web site and directions never mentioned keep edges away from burners. After contacting then they stated the there was a label in the package saying edges were tater to 300 degrees. I did not see this label in my package.
