The product, in the report: 10 inch glass microwave splatter cover Ad says to cook safely in the microwave so used exactly as intended. Handled melted and was smoking when taken outside

Glass microwave splatter cover from LeRaze Decor (Amazon) melted and almost caused a fire! We used the enclosed metal screw and washer to install the handle but the metal got so hot in our [REDACTED] microwave that it melted the handle and stunk like burning rubber. If I hadnt been right there to shut it off and take it outside, I think it would have caused a fire. There are MANY similar items for sale on Amazon as well as brick and mortar stores like [REDACTED].
