The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: This is a utensil used to remove the kernels from an ear of corn. It has razor sharp blades.

My wife was removing the safety cap on the Kuhn Rikon Corn Zipper and it sliced two of her finger tips. She had to go to Urgent Care and the wound has been extremely painful and will take weeks to heal. The gadget does not have a safety warning and more importantly, it has no way of gripping the safety cap so that your fingers are protected. Seems like a safety cap should enhance safety of the use of the product, not increase its danger.
