The product, in the report: Despite being labeled as safe for kids 1 to 6 years old, many of these magnets are absolutely not safe.
I purchased refrigerator magnets for my grandson from Amazon that was clearly labeled for toddlers and children 1 to 6 years of age. When I received the item it was clearly not safe for kids under 3. Several pieces barely meet the requirements for size and others have small pieces that could be easily broken off and create a choking hazard. I also am not sure if the tape used to attach it to the card in the package is very safe for kids. They either do not or barely meet the Consumer Product Safety Commission for toys for children under 3 years of age. Three of the vegetables barely meet the size requirements (2.25 x 1.25 requirement - the carrot is 2-5/16 x 5/16, red & green peppers are 2-3/8 x 1-3/16). Three have very small parts that could easily break off and be swallowed: grapes, apple and orange. All of them were stuck to a card using extremely sticky double-sided tape. When you pull off of the card, it leaves a residue that needs to be removed before the child can play with it. I will be returning this. The website shows a measurement of a watermelon and that is also what is in the specifications. However, that watermelon is one of the largest magnets in the bunch.
