As each report says it, in short words; CPSC’s own words are under each.

The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: This is a link to the exact product I was using: https://www.kohls.com/product/prd-4615110/glittery-gold-ball-wine-stopper. It is a glittery, gold ball wine stopper. I would say that the ball was the same size if not a bit larger than a golf ball. The rest of the wine stopper is made of zinc alloy (as described on the website) and these little rubber rings. Note that the rest of the wine stopper is still stuck in the wine bottle. Dimensions: 5.2 in. x 2.2 in. x 2.2 in. I only have the wine bottle with half of the stopper left in it. All of the shattered glass has been thrown away as it literally shattered into so many pieces.

I was seriously injured when a glass wine stopper shattered in my hand as I was pulling it out from a bottle of wine, as you do with any wine stopper. I was unaware that this product was even made of glass or that it was fragile enough to shatter in my hand. I ended up in the ER and received 4 stitches in my thumb. There may even be some long-term damage to the tendon and nerves in my thumb. I tried to reach out to Kohl’s (the seller of the product) and was met with zero solutions. I was also to have received a call from them by now. I just want the vendor of this product to be held responsible so that others do not have to go through what I am now going through.
