  1. No one hurt

Made Nov 18, 2025, sent to the company Nov 21, 2025, published by CPSC Dec 15, 2025

The product, in the report: https://a.co/d/2UU8kkz

Product: JOY CAT silicone magnetic letters (sold on Amazon) Childs age: 16 months Incident date: November 18, 2025

    Description:

My 16-month-old child was chewing on one of the silicone magnetic letters from this product, which is advertised as baby-safe. She was able to bite completely through the silicone casing, exposing the small magnet inside. She could easily have swallowed the magnet if I had not seen it immediately. This indicates the product is not safe for young children and fails basic durability expectations for baby items. There was no excessive force involved normal exploratory chewing was enough to breach the silicone. Magnet ingestion can cause serious internal injury, so this product represents a significant hazard.

Injuries: None, because I caught it immediately. Action taken: Removed product from use and notified Amazon.

Primary concern: The product is marketed as safe for babies, but the embedded magnets can be exposed with normal chewing. This poses a serious risk of ingestion and life-threatening internal damage. I believe this product should be reviewed for potential recall.
