  1. Hospital admission

The product, in the report: “GoodHangups for Kids Art turns your wall into a magnet board and is perfect for hanging children’s art and much more. “

I am a pediatric gastroenterologist, Today I consulted on a child who is currently hospitalized after swallowing several small magnets advertised on the products website as “GOODHANGUPS” & “ GOODHANGUPS FOR KIDS ART” These products website, https://www.goodhangups.com/products/goodhangups-for-kids-art claims: 1.”Meets CPSC Safety Requirements” 2. the products are marketed for children, as can be seen on the website 3. Some of their magnet products are even specifically marketed to children under the claim” Kid Friendly Magnets” [?!?!?]

I don’t understand how the CPSC, which already has put out warnings about small magnets like the one featured at https://www.cpsc.gov/safety-education/safety-guides/kids-and-babies-toys/magnet-dangers can allow this product’s website to claim GOODHANGUPS magnets meets CPSC safety requirements and claim that small magnets can be “kid friendly” while the CPSC at the same time warn consumers to avoid products for children containing small magnets?
