The product, in the report: Anchor Hocking fire King 1cup glass measuring cup
1 cup anchor Hocking fire King glass measuring cup exploded. I purchased it last night removed the label and put it in the kitchen sink to wash it when I did the dishes. There were some other dishes in the sink but no water. My husband and I were sitting in the front room watching the news when we heard an explosion. I went into the kitchen and there were shards of glass everywhere, in the sink, on the counter, on the floor in front of the sink, a real mess. No one was hurt, but had I been standing at the sink or had been using it, or washing it, (i wash dishes by hand since we dont have a dish washer) the results could have been very serious.
