The product, in the report: Cabela’s 12-tray Pro Series Food Dehydrator.

I was using a Cabela’s 12-tray Pro Series Food Dehydrator overnight per the manufacturer’s instructions. The unit began to smell like burning electrical components at which time I woke up and noticed the unit was shut down but still energized and something was definitely burning inside. I was using the product to dehydrate beef into beef jerky. All 12 trays were full and the unit was set to 160°F for a automatic shutoff time of 6 hours. There were no injuries however the unit easily could have caught on fire as an internal electrical component board was later removed by myself only to discovered several resistors and a relay had burned up and melted a portion of the board.
