The product, in the report: Fiestware Flatware - Masquerade 2 sets of 20 pieces - knife, reg. fork, salad fork, teaspoon and soup spoon 1 set 5 serving pieces
I purchased 2 twenty piece sets and 1 serving set of Masquerade Fiestaware Flatware from JC Penney approximately 7 months ago. I have Fiesta dinnerware for over 25 years and still have every single original piece. Fiestware meant excellent quality. I did not even think twice about my purchase only how great the flatware would go with all my different color dinnerware. I was quite taken back when a color chip from my fork fell on to my plate. What if I had swallowed it by accident? Over the last month a few more pieces have lost their chips. I started to look for replacement pieces and came upon the recall that was made in 2009. Why was I able to purchase this item at Penney’s after the item had been recalled 5 years ago? Why is Macy’s and Amazon still selling this product as it is still defective? Why wasn’t there a warning posted? I am now worried about using this flatware set at all. Am concerned about a piece falling out and mistakenly swallowed by a child or adult while visiting my home? Any suggestions?
