The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Hospital admission

The product, in the report: A clear plastic fork that is too sharp with razor like fork tines.

I ingested a piece of plastic fork tine that punctured my stomach. I began to develop sepsis, was in severe pain, and got extremely sick. Five nights in the hospital and surgery removed the plastic fork tine. I used Costco Kirkland 360 Crystal Clear Cutlery Premium Strength that was manufactured by The Dart Container Corporation. I was using plastic to eat on the 4th of July. I do not remember it breaking or swallowing it. I am sure that was the last time I used any plastic cutlery. The product design is defective, the product should be recalled, and redesigned. The forks have a design flaw of splinter sharp pointed brittle tips instead of being rounded. These plastic forks are dangerous and unsafe.
