The product, in the report: Stainless steal motion sensor trash can
Costco Item number 807890 EKO 80L / 21G Motion Sensor Trash Can. Recall #15-742 was taken care of, However now the battery compartment doors will not stay closed and as such the battery packs keep falling out. In the past we have had to stop our pets from eating them (this is due to the packs falling out when we change the garbage out.) The packs have fallen into the trash before and now when my child has taken the trash out one of the battery packs has fallen out and he did not notice it. We have looked all around for it and even emptied out all trash sacks and been unable to find it. My fear at this point is one of the pets got to it and may have eaten the batteries. A better locking system is needed to prevent smaller children and pets from eating the packs.
