The product, in the report: Pressure cooker

11/7/2021The problem happened the first time the consumer used the product

The pressure cooker was on the high setting for less than 30 minutes, when the incident occurred. One side of the pressure cooker developed a large dent and the top part that is supposed to be vented, broke apart. This allowed some of the contents to spill out of the side and the top of the pressure cooker. There were no injuries. Damage was limited to the pressure cooker itself.

The consumer was in the kitchen at the time of the incident and immediately turned the product off and unplugged it from the wall outlet.

(date unknown) The consumer called the firm and reported her issues to a rep. (name unavailable). She asked to speak with a supervisor, but was not permitted to. Her information was passed on to a supervisor, who later responded to her by email.. The supervisor wrote that they no longer support her model.

The consumer followed up with another email, but did not receive a reply. Therefore, she later called the firm again and asked for a supervisor, but was told the same thing (they don’t support her model).
