The product, in the report: Pressure cooker

I bought an Ultrex pressure cooker about 8 years ago and it worked fine until today.. It exploded and flew into the air. Luckily for me, I was about 10 feet away when it happened. The entire side connector blew off and steam shot out and the cooker flew up and landed on the floor of my kitchen, with pieces flying everywhere..I had just been standing in front of it and went to set a timer and it happened. I almost got killed. I went on line and found that there was a recall on this particular product in 2006, but I was never informed. I called Home Shopping Network, where I bought the product and they said they will look into it for me. But, I felt I should notify you also. They also said that shortly after the recall was issued that Ultrex went out of business.
