Product Brand & Model / Marca y Modelo: Farberware 7-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker (6-Quart), Model: WM-CS6004W
I was cooking chicken soup with the water filled only halfway, well within the manufacturer’s safety limits. I ensured the pressure cooker was properly closed and locked before operation. After a while, I heard an abnormal pressure leak coming from the lid. As I approached and placed my hand on top of the handle, the pressure suddenly hissed much louder, and the lid spontaneously and violently blew off on its own. I did not attempt to turn, twist, or force the lid open in any way. The safety mechanism completely failed under pressure, causing the boiling liquid to blast out forcefully and strike my abdomen. 2 degre burn

Hurt, care not known Made Feb 17, 2024, sent to the company Feb 26, 2024, published by CPSC Mar 11, 2024
The product, in the report: Farberware 7-IN-1 Programmable electric pressure cooker. Model: WM-CS6004W, UPC 839724011821
I was electrically shocked by the Farberware electric pressure cooker model WM-CS6004W that I purchased from Walmart store on 12/31/2023. It also trips the circuit breaker at times. I contacted the number on the box (855-451-2897). I was refereed to contact Farberware. Farberware advised me to contact Spectrum Brands. Spectrum Brands refereed me to their web site. Spectrum Brands web site does not have this model number listed at all. It has been one blame game after another and no one is taking this matter seriously. It appears that no one is willing to admit to manufacturing of this product.

The product, in the report: Farberware Programmable Digital Pressure Cooker, 6 Quart, Sold by Walmart
I was cooking with my Farberware 6 Quart Pressure Cooker. The timer beeped because it was done cooking. I released the steam valve. When I opened the lid the contents of the pressure cooker erupted. I was burned on my face, neck, shoulders, upper arms and breasts.

Emergency room Made Mar 28, 2017, sent to the company Apr 5, 2017, published by CPSC Apr 26, 2017
The product, in the report: Farberware 7 N 1 Pressure cooker
January 22nd 2015, I was preparing beef stew in a Farberware 7-N-1 Pressure Cooker that I purchased from Walmart, manufactured by Midea. I heard the pressure cooker beep, notifying me that the cooking cycle had ended. I then ensured the pressure release valve was positioned according to the included directions to release the all the steam from the beef stew that had been cooking. The reason I purchased this pressure cooker over the various others was the lid lock safety feature, in which the lid automatically unlocks only after all the extremely hot steam and intense pressure has been removed from cooker through an exhaust valve. Once this was complete, I went to remove the unlocked lid and the scalding hot content exploded onto my body severely burning my chest, stomach, hand, and tip of nose. I felt a searing pain to the skin on my nose, left thigh, chest, stomach, and left hand and I instinctively and immediately removed my clothing containing the scalding hot contents only to find the skin on my body had been violently burned away. This is a dangerous and defective product that is not safe. It caused me 2nd and third degree burns on my body and I am now left with ugly scars for life!
