The product, in the report: Work Choice 6 Outlet Sureg Protectors 2-pack

I purchase a 2-pack of the WorkChoice Surge Protector 6-outlet power strip from Walmart on August 29th in Morehead City, NC. When I plugged the first into our bedroom wall socket and turned the switch on the power strip to the on position it sparked then started to burn.

I dropped the strip and quickly pulled the cord out of the wall socket. The fire went out once the power was removed. There were slight burns to the carpet and my thumb had a slight burn from when I turned the unit on. Neither was serious, but it could have burned the carpet and the house if I had not moves quickly.

I believe there is a serious risk of fire for anyone using these and they should be recalled.
